How nice when someone wants to do something a bit different. A young man has just told me that at some point in his groom's speech he wants to sing his fiancée’s favourite song to her while accompanying himself on the guitar. He wants this to be a complete surprise – as indeed it will be as he can’t play the guitar! So he has just started having secret lessons and has three months to get up to speed before the wedding. As they are already living together he won’t find it easy to practise! Sadly I never get to hear the wedding speeches I write – I shall be particularly sorry to miss this one!
