This month I expect to write more wedding speeches than I have ever done before in a single month. Yes, like so many events, weddings are back in a big way - to the relief of so many couples whose big day has been postponed once, twice and sometimes three times.
For the best part of 18 months I have written very little other than funeral eulogies where families have often been compelled to go for the second-best digital alternative rather than an in-person service.
Sadly we have no control over when we die - which is why when my old school magazine arrives I always check the obituaries page to make sure I'm not in it.
