We seem to be hearing more and more about artificial intelligence and how it will transform the way we lead our lives, and in due course we shall no doubt be able to send the car to the supermarket on its own to do the shopping. However, I rather doubt that a computerised robot will ever be able to write a good quality speech that is right for the particular occasion and the particular individual - but if and when that day does come I'm sure I shall have long since stopped trying to compete!
