Have you ever had a solid 24 carat gold wedding invitation? No - neither have I but an engraver contacted me recently to say that he was setting up a new business and wanted my help with the wording of his new website. He hopes to make bespoke gold invitations for top-end weddings and believes there is a market for these - particularly in the USA, Russia and China. I hope he will ask for payment in advance as the gold for each invitation will apparently cost about £20,000!
